iTunes Library RB Menu Play
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Hi,
Recently I have had a problem with the RB menu. When I try to select a movie or TV show via the RB menu within my iTunes library, the movie or TV show does not start. Instead the play button is activated within iTunes and the first movie or TV show in the library starts but not the movie/TV show I want.

I took a look at the playlist view of my Music and I see that remote buddy is creating new playlists like it normally does. However, it does not seem to be completing the task of playing the movie/TV show I selected. I tried deleting all the RB playlists, verifying that iTunes Match was turned off, verified the sidebar was off, and made sure I have the latest version of RB.

I am currently running iTunes 11.0.5 on OS X 10.8.5 w/RB 1.23.

Any thoughts how to fix the problem?

I've been using RB for about 9 months w/no problems until now.

Also I even tried enabling access for assistive devices after reading about that in another forum.

The solution to the problem is to turn off shuffle play. For some reason if shuffle is enabled, it stops Remote Buddy from working properly.
