Can I assume this IR receiver will *NOT* work

See link for image with specs. I found a thread from a couple/few years ago with the same specs and assumed it may be supported by now but after an hour of banging my head against the wall I'm willing to admit defeat!

Cheers

Thanks for asking.

That receiver's vendor and product ID is actually in Remote Buddy's internally used list of known devices (compiled from first hand tests and working with users), so if you

a) use the latest version of Remote Buddy
b) installed Remote Buddy's driver (Candelair) when it prompted you to during startup (or later via the Setup Wizard)

it should turn up in Remote Buddy and "just work" with an Apple Remote.

If a) and b) apply to your setup and you'd like me to take a look, please type this line in Terminal.app

ioreg -c IOUSBDevice -w0 >~/Desktop/ioregUSBDump.txt

and send the file ioregUSBDump.txt on your desktop to info ät iospirit döt com.
