Remote Buddy and OS X Yosemite?
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Has anyone tried Remote Buddy on the new OS X 10.10 Yosemite? I am a small time iOS and OS X developer with limited resources, and as such my development machine does double duty as my media center machine. I would like to install Yosemite on it so I can start developing and testing against it, but don't want to break my Remote Buddy setup. FYI if it makes any difference I am not using any weird/unusual/special remote control hardware, just the standard Apple remote. Thanks!

Thanks for asking.

Here's what I usually do:

1) Clone my boot drive to an external USB HDD.

2) Install OS X Developer Preview over it.

3) See if everything I depend on works.

4) Assuming everything I need works:
a) boot from my normal boot drive
b) clone it to the external USB HDD again (so I have a backup)
c) install OS X Developer Preview on my boot drive

There'll be more info on Remote Buddy on Yosemite in an upcoming blog post ( http://www.iospirit.com/blog/ ) within the next 24 hours.
