Problem with built-in KODI commands - Navigation: previous menu
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Since last update Kodi stopped responding to following built-in commands available in the Remote Buddy command list: "Navigation: previous menu" ; "Navigation: left" ; "Navigation: right".

Navigation Left and Right could simply be replaced by "left" and "right" commands in the built-in list. But "Navigation: previous menu" cannot be replaced by "previous menu" as they act completely different in Kodi.

While "Navigation: previous menu" would take you back one level/menu at time, command "previous menu" takes you straight back to Home.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Easiest way is to replace it with a custom action that simulates a keyboard key being pressed.

Easy to do

Select the button you want to map (that isn't working) and select "Custom actions" from the dropdown, add a new action, give it a relevant name, click in the "keystroke" field and press the keyboard key you want (in this case it was backspace).

I have done this for all the navigation keys as well.

What version of Kodi are you experiencing this issue with. I couldn't reproduce the issue with Kodi 17.4.
