Demo limitations?
View

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I d/l the 30-day Preview 1 demo but I can only get it to activate and
operate iTunes. I have EyeTV 2, Keynote 3, as well as iLife 6 on my
Mac mini Core Duo but none of these show up in Remote Buddy. Is this
a limitation of the demo? I couldn't find release notes or online
information that indicated.

Thanks,

David N.

Hello David,

besides the 30 day limit, there are no other limitations.

You also should see the behaviours showing up in the menu. Error
sources that spring to mind:

- did you launch these applications at least once until now, so RB
can't find them via NSWorkspace? (it could also be a bug in
NSWorkspace, though.)

- in which location are these apps installed? /Applications or
elsewhere?

- RB has problems locating its plugins or permission problems. What
is your milage if you start RB directly out of the downloaded DMG
file? Where are you launching it from right now?

- where did you look for the other items. Did you just press menu and
see the mapping or did you also navigate through the levels of menus?

With that questions answered, a solution shouldn't be far :-)
