My only complaint & suggestion

I think it's a bad idea to add Front Row integration within Remote Buddy.

There should be a toggle under the menu bar to enable or disable File Buddy. That way one can switch between Apple's remote options (Front Row) and File Buddy's options (application specific options). I know I can simply Quit File Buddy, but that doesn't seem like an elegant option.

This would make the product less confusing to it's customers.

Also, I hope that the "Send Feedback..." option will be disabled on the 1.0 release version... :)

Thanks for listening.

Hello Joe,

thanks for your thoughts.

There is a reason why Front Row is integrated directly by emulating
keystrokes: compatibility. It's the only way to ensure Front Row
works with whatever remote control will be supported in the future.

What you suggest works fine for the Apple Remote and also for the
Keyspan RF Remote for Front Row. But it will not work for other
sources of remote control input.

I'll think about replacing the feedback option with a new "Send
praise .." option ;-) .. but .. seriously: this product to a great
part lives from the feedback and ideas of its users, so this is
probably not a good idea. If you find it really annoying, I may add a
checkbox to remove it from the menu in the final version, though ;-)

Best regards,
Felix

I'd recommend just making it a lower option is all. I love the product and
will certainly be ordering a copy next week.

I do wish that I had the option to disable Remote Buddy without quitting it
and a checkbox to remove Front Row from the list of application within it.
That would solve my issues - but however you proceed I think you have a hit
on your hands.
