Does remote buddy allow you to reassign actions on the fly? Either by an action or apple script call?

Hello Jason,

thanks for asking.

It does not allow you to do that for now. However, this does sound
interesting. What would you like to do with such functionality?

Best regards,
Felix

I'm currently using Remote Buddy to control my sling box. Given the limited number of buttons on the mac remote, it would be nice to be able to change "modes". Press 1 button and it would bring up my tv guide, which would make the + - >> << act as a cursor. Once I press the action to leave the guide, it goes back to normal mode. + - for volume, << >> for fast fw and rewind.

Hello Jason,

thanks for your feedback!

I will keep this in mind. Right now, and in this specific case, you
can already achieve this by using AppleScript in your actions and
store and compare values to switch between modes via the "store" and
"read" AppleScript commands Remote Buddy provides. It's not as easy,
but its an option available right now.

Best regards,
Felix
