Thanks for asking and proving feedback - and sorry I only noticed your post now.

Regarding waking from sleep, please check that this option is turned on:

System Preferences > Bluetooth > (Advanced… | More…) > Allow Bluetooth devices to wake up computer

I'm working hard to get version 1.25 out the door as soon as possible. It's my main focus right now.
